Carrying Satellite Phones to India on Tourist Visa

It has been brought to the notice of this Ministry by the Ministry of Home Affairs that some foreigners are carrying satellite phones with them while coming to India on tourist visa. These foreigners were intercepted and their satellite phones were seized.

2. As per the existing guidelines of MHA, carrying satellite phones by foreigners into India is banned. In light of the above, Missions/Posts are requested to wide publicize this information on their website accordingly.
