The Embassy of India organized Mekong Ganga Cooperation (MGC) Food Festival on 22 March 2025. It was planned in association with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Phnom Penh Capital Hall of Cambodia and the embassies of Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam to Cambodia. With a scenic location on the Mekong riverside in front of the Ounalom Pagoda in Phnom Penh, the festival enthralled crowds of people and tourists flocking to the newly launched Phnom Penh Riverside Walk Street. There were a total 13 food counters set up including 4 Indian, 2 Cambodian, 2 Thai, 2 Laos, 1 Myanmar, 1 Vietnamese and 1 of the spouses of the Indian Embassy featuring homemade food and delicacies, with all proceeds going to charitable works in Cambodia. The festival was attended by Director General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, spouse and family members of Phnom Penh Governor, Secretary of State, Ministry of Rural Development of Cambodia and representatives from the embassies of Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
