Gifting of Infantry Weapon Simulator to the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (17 February 2025)

On 17 February 2025, an Infantry Weapon Training Simulator was handed over to the RCA in a ceremony presided over by Ambassador Vanlalvawna Bawitlung and His Excellency General Mao Sophan, Deputy Commander-in-chief, RCAF and Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army. The ceremony took place at the Royal Cambodian Army Headquarters. In his address, General Mao Sophan noted that military cooperation between the two nations has steadily strengthened and expanded, culminating in the signing of the Terms of Reference (TOR) between their respective armies. He further emphasized that the Infantry Weapon Training Simulator, provided by the Indian Army, represents valuable support for the modernization of Cambodia’s national defense and underscored that this advanced training system will contribute significantly to enhancing the operational capabilities of the Royal Cambodian Army. Ambassador Vanlalvawna Bawitlung emphasized that the gifting of the training system is a testament to the enduring friendship between the Cambodian and Indian armies. It also reflects India's commitment to further strengthening and expanding defense ties with Cambodia, reinforcing the deep-rooted friendship between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of India.
