Familiarization trip of travel agents from Mekong Ganga Members States to prominent Buddhist sites in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar (02-10 June 2025)

A 9-day familiarization tour was organized from 2–10 June 2025 for 40 participants—10 each from Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand—to visit prominent Buddhist sites in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, India. The tour was conducted under the Mekong Ganga Cooperation (MGC) framework with the aim of strengthening cultural and people-to-people ties. Participants explored key pilgrimage destinations in UP and Bihar, deepening their understanding of India’s rich Buddhist heritage and fostering regional connectivity rooted in shared spiritual traditions.
